” It’s super important to moisturise before you tan, and if it’s too dark, don’t panic scrub! Either go swimming or have frequent hot showers using a light polish to help it fade.”  Jules Heptonstall, Global Tanning Expert for St. Tropez

Here are a few product suggestions to try for a perfect at home glow every time:

St.Tropez Tan Enhancing Polish. £10

Exfoliate the skin to help give your skin a good canvas for an even and streak-free tan.  If you do find the colour too dark then gently exfoliate to help bring it down, this gentle polish is perfect for the job and will ensure a more even fade.

      Hi Diana,

No problem. All our Self Tans offer a streak-free and flawless finish, which one you go for is up to you based on your preference on texture, depth of finish, longevity or application method.

For Gradual Tans, these come in two colour choices, Light/Med for a golden glow, or Med/Dark for a deeper finish. Apply this daily like a moisturiser to gradually build your tan. Your colour should start developing over a few days, getting deeper each day as you use it. You can either apply with a mitt or with your hands.

For our Bronzing Lotions we recommend preparing the skin first with an exfoliator to get rid of any dry patches and then moisturise for a smooth canvas. Apply either Bronzing Lotion or Bronzing Lotion Dark with a mitt. wait until your skin is touch dry before getting dressed. Allow the tan to develop on the skin (4-8 hours for Bronzing lotion or 8hrs for the dark) then shower off.
Your tan should last for about 3-7 days, to prolong the tan and for an even fade, make sure to keep moisturising your skin after you tan.
