Jules’ Quick Instant Party Tan Tips

Posted on November 13, 2015 in Tanning Tips & Advice with 0 Comments

Last minute party invite this weekend? Don’t panic, you can create a quick last minute party tan in no time by using St. Tropez Instant Tan. I’ve pulled together my expert tips in how to get that perfect all night party tan.

TIP 1:

Preparation is the most vital tip of all, as no tanning prep can result in streaks and uneven fading in colour. Exfoliate with St.Tropez Body Polish to remove dead skin cells, creating a smooth and uniform skin surface for your party tan to be applied to. Also, any hair removal should be carried out 24 hours prior to party tanning. Put in the effort before your party tan and you’ll reap the rewards!

TIP 2:

With instant party tan one of my top tips is to let the first layer dry before applying the second – that way your end result is even, deep and luxe. ALWAYS use a an Applicator Mitt for a smooth, streak free finish.

TIP 3:

Put the instant tanning lotion onto the mitt, then open and close your hand with the mitt on to spread the product across the mitt.

TIP 4:

Start at your ankles and sweep the mitt up and around the body. I work in a clockwise motion, so leg, leg, arm, arm, torso, back and back down to the leg.

TIP 5:

Remember to bend your arms when applying over your elbows so there’s no lines when you bend your elbow.

TIP 6:

You can use the reverse of the tanning mitt to pat the lotion and to help it to dry on the skin. Backstage we turn on our tanning guns and let the air flow over the models body to speed up the drying process, you can do this at home with a hairdryer on the cold setting.
