“These last few weeks have had my diary jam packed! First on my list was The National Wedding Show! It’s Bridal season, this is the only place you need be to pick up tips, write your wish list and get inspiration!

I represented St.Tropez across London and Birmingham Shows at The National Wedding Show Makeover Theatre stage. There are four sections to the show; Dresses, Beauty, Hair and Mother of the Bride where I share some of my top tanning tips!

First section of the show…Dresses – Of course it’s all about the dress, and having a tan can really show it off so here we talked about some top tips on how to highlight key areas depending on the style of dress and how to pick the right tan. Our Gradual Tan range is one of our favourites amongst brides and I personally love our Gradual Tan In Shower. It allows you to fit tanning into your routine when you are so hectic planning your big day. It’s also a great one for our grooms who want to have a subtle glow. I also showed off our NEW Instant Tan Finishing Gloss with some exclusive pictures from backstage  at London Fashion Week showing how to use to it accentuate key areas and using this product to take that tan look from day to night.

Beauty – this was my biggest slot on the show! Lights, camera and action! We started off with the big question – when to tan? I always like to use my 2-3 shower rule. I recommend tanning 2-3 days before you big day to allow the tan to settle if you are having a professional tan. If you are using gradual tan, start a week before. Everyone loved the shower tip, so get your pen and notepad and get that down!  We had a lot of questions on what tan should each person use so as well as spending some time doing some bespoke consulting at the shows, everyone could check out our Tan Finder on our website at home to find a tan that fits their skin tone, time limits and occasion. Here a member of the audience managed to get a makeover and was took back stage to finish their look.

Hair – I was bought back on to the stage whilst our guest of honour got her hair done for a quick Q&A

First question was, when is best to start tanning and is there anything that can be done before?

Here we touched on preparing the skin for an even, natural glow. Top tip, exfoliate and start hair removal 24 hours before to give a clean canvas for your tan. Remember to moisturise for a hydrated finish.

The golden rules for a tan? Here I shared my favourite tip! Of course a close up picture of your sparkling ring is a big focus on the day so you want your hand tan to be on point. Use our Mist format to give an airbrushed finish. Claw the hand, like you are holding an apple to stretch out the creases on your fingers and spray. Perfection!

Our audience member had her grand reveal, and she looked amazing! I loved being part of the show and seeing the look come together. Some great questions from the audience so thanks to anyone that took part, and I loved meeting you all after too.

Once the show was over, I managed to take a look around the rest of the show. I may not have a ring on my finger (just yet!) but managed to make the most of some wedding fun! I’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to share more top tips with you very soon!  Happy Wedding Planning ladies and gents!”
